「The Finest Blister-spec BNR32！」…And a Fully Tuned RB26 on Deck?!【W-Option JAMBOREE】

A harmonious blend of aero parts and widebody form!
The owner Mr. Kaneko brought this car to a recent event. It is a hardcore highway runner that has seen a lot of action around the Tokyo area. In addition to this vehicle he also owned an impressive range of sports cars, including other BNR32, Z32, JZX90 Mark II, a total of 3 FC3S’s and a Porsche 930 Turbo.
The BNR32 seen here was aquired in May 2005. Previously he had driven his long-time dream car, a Porsche 930 Turbo with K30 Turbine, but later reached the feeling that a domestic car would be more suitable.
At the time of purchase, Veilside wide blister fenders were attached, which Mr. Kaneko was very pleased with. He then added an Abflug Ver. 1 front bumper. Large fog lights housed here follow the “Wangan” style feel that the rest of the car gives off. Bonnet is by Kansai Service and mirrors are Ganador.
The rear diffuser is also Abflug. Even though on paper its a hodgepodge mix of aero parts, the complete package has considerable unity. By the way, the muffler is a one-off full titanium 90φ.
Power comes from Pentroof tuned RB26DETT which had a full overhaul. The combustion chambers, ports, guides and seat rings have had considerable attention and the N1 Pistons with a PE1520 twin turbine add to the performance. Maximum output is in the 520-530ps range.
The suspension is a Ohlins PCV setup. Arms have NISMO upper link and Cusco pillow tension rod. As for the control system, Kansai Service E-TS controller is introduced to improve accuracy of the Atessa control.
19-inch Work Meister S1R’s (F10J, R11.5J) are wrapped in Continental rubber (F265/30-19, R315/25-19). Alcon’s 6 & 4 Pot braking system increases stopping power.
With full LED lighting and carbon coated accents, the interior has a refined atmosphere. Seats are RECARO RS-G Alcantara & SP-JC Alcantara leather. Steering is performed by a 350mm Momo competition wheel and the transmission was swapped to a BNR34 Getrag 6-speed.
When asked about future upgrades, Mr. Kaneko responds “You mean the engine?” In fact, he keeps an RB26 on deck that has already had a full tune with forged piston, variable valve tie RB25 head. “I’ve got both T78 and T88 turbines but which should I do?” he says. We’re envious!
