This car has been tuned by leading shop Cruise in Hokkaido. They have performed work on a variety of vehicles making a name for themselves throughout the region. They have achieved success not only in tuning for drift, but also drag racing, sprint and time attack.

This Cruise produced JZX100 can be set up for multi-use street functions from grip to drift. Setting can be adjusted for complete driving enjoyment regardless of the situation.

HKS connection rod and high cam are installed. There is a 1.5J 2JZ block tuned to 3.0L. Taking into account normal road use and ability to easily pass vehicle inspection, creating a high rotation type 1JZ is the recommended route. Rotational speed has been increased to 8500rpm.

 

The TD07-25G turbine has a twin scroll shape at the EX housing. Compared to a single-port turbine, function is highly improved.

Variable valve timing is tuned using an HKS controller. Torque is increased in the low to medium range and the turbine starts to rotate faster. Feeling in the high range is improved with good response. Unfortunately, the HKS controller for valve timing is no longer in production but it can be possible to tune it using an Apex power FC.

Fuel system has been reinforced. Fuel is supplied by a pair of Bosch pumps after entering the collector from the main fuel pump. This technique takes full advantage of the punchy power unit.

The suspension is a special setting by Cruise, incorporating original damping force setting based on front and rear Apex N1 dampers. Spring rates are 22kg/mm at the front and 18kg/mm at the rear. Brakes are reinforced with Dixcel slit rotors all around.

Ikeya Formula adjustable pillow arms with those pillows replacing factory bushings stabilize the car during performance driving. Stabilizers front and rear are by Cusco.

The cockpit retains only what is necessary while still maintaining comfort. After all, this machine is based on the premise of multi-use. Additional gauges with good visibility are a must for keeping an eye on engine conditions.

A striking feature of the exterior are Cruise’s original “Ohtan Wide Overfenders”. Each fender increases width by 60mm, expanding the footprint of the vehicle and giving the car an aggressive look. Fit has a high accuracy and impactful look when installed on the car.
