The owner is a university student on a limited tuning budget, but he still shelled out for a deadstock widebody Ask Sports SW20 kit and rear louvers from overseas. The lights have been converted to a fixed position and integrated into the bonnet. This was done DIY by the owner and he has plans for some further modifications here. The exhaust is a one-off original 38φ with quad exit. Long length increases low speed torque. Further customization is in progress including the introduction of a resonator to adjust exhaust sound.

This Cappuccino was tuned for sprited runs on the Metropolitain Expressway. The owner says that bodywork was done to fit 195/40R16 tires and it ended up looking better than expected. It seems it has attacted a lot of attention. It has a Monster F100 Turbo kit, Fighter Engineering tuned engine with port polish and produces 100ps + α. The lightweight body allows him to keep up with his friend’s DC2.

Saturn had “too much personality” (?) to increase sales in the Japanese market? This SC2 is a coupe model that has a 2 + 1 door layout. Even within a brand that is rarely seen in Japan, this is a particulary rare model. Since there were no aftermarket suspension parts available for this car the owner cut the springs and set the ride height. The wheels are OZ Racing Saturn which felt like fate in the naming and are installed by doing a bolt pattern change.

The AE70 Sprinter is a facelift model based on the Corolla. The engine has been replaced with a high-tuned 5-valve 4A-G from an AE111. The computer is a LINK full control unit and it has RacePak multi-monitors set. The suspension is taken from an AE86 which has a similar setup. This car has great performance as a drift car. Originally, the owner swtiched to this model as a cheap base compared to the AE86 but now it has become a rare car. It seems it has now become more difficult to use as a drift car becuase of the burden put on it during hard driving.

Despite its nostalgic styling, the Sunny Truck was actually sold up until about 10 years ago. Thanks to its long production span, it is popular as a custom and tuning base for various styles. This one has been customized in a tuning style that was popular in the 90s. Most notably the BOYDS louvered bonnet reflects this mood. The front grille was converted to quad headlights using the bezel from an Isuzu Bellet. Combining this with a one-off billet grille and an aircooled VW overrider, the trucks personality has been transformed.

The owner of this 3-series was a fan of DTM and looking for an E34 M5. He installed BC Racing suspension to lower the height and re-lipped BBS RS to fit snugly in the factory fenders. Turbofan covers gave him the DTM atmosphere he was looking for and he is now satsified with the look. The rear wing is a modified DC5 spoiler that gives the car a sporty presence.

The engine of this Cappuccino was fully overhauled. Intake/exhaust tuning and port polishing were done. The turbo was replaced with an HT07 unit improving response and bringing power up to 100ps. Kimura Auto rear member was installed and prevents arm lock when the ride height was lowered. This car has been tuned for speeding around the curving Tokyo Expressways and has an increase in rigidity thanks to spot welding reinforcement. The owner wants to put his attention on the interior next.

The owner of this Sera was looking for a strange car (?!) and happened upon this one. The aim for customization was a low-rider compact that saw its boom in the early 90s. Deep dish Maclean wheels poke out from the body and the car sits on hydros. Those who remember this scene are bound to feel nostalgia. Most of the car remains factory but emphasis stays on the rarity of this mostly unseen 90s chassis.

The owner said that he fell in love with the left-hand-drive Hachiroku after driving a domestic model. After he purchased this car, he swapped the 4A-C to a 4A-GEU. He then refreshed the styling with a lowered ride height and aftermarket wheels. No custom work was done on the interior deliberately because the factory interior exists in a very clean condition.
