The exterior is done in old-school cool style
An R31 with an RB25 and TO4E turbo combo
Fenders made to barely clear the tires result in a stunning look. This R31 has been owned for many years by its owner and was actually purchased as a new car by him long ago. It has evolved into its current form with side skirts and rear diffuser among other upgrades.
“I was a fan of Nissan Group A cars, so it was only natural that I get an R31. Its my favorite car and even still I’ve not grown tired of it” says the owner.
The RB20 was swapped out for an RB25DET. “Rather than overhaul the blown RB20 that was in it, I opted for this route because it was cheaper and faster” says the owner. An isometric stainless exhaust manifold and Garrett TO4E turbo from the Group A GTS-R were installed. An RB25DET- “R” plate is affixed to the radiator.
Body Shop Yamanaka in Chiba was in charge of the bodywork. The front and rear fenders were formed by welded steel plates. The aggressive tire fitment within the fender arches has an attractive look.
The wheels are Panasport G7, a favorite of the owner and the third set on this car. The first set was stolen and the second set were 16-inch in gold finish. “This set is 17-inch gunmetal” says the owner.
The under diffuser was developed by First Molding. The Nissan sticker on the bumper enhances the old school racing feel.
The center console and panel surrounding the shifter were replaced with carbon parts. Additional gauges were installed on the dashboard at the passenger side.
Pursuing originality in every detail, you can realize the coolness of this Skyline upon first glance. For the owner who has continued to evolve this car over years of ownership, this is the “ultimate form of the R31”.
